Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is bringing its luxury hospitality experience to Northwest England with a countryside estate built for stays, dining, wellness, golf, and celebrations.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is making its debut in Northwest England with Fairmont Cheshire The Mere, a luxury countryside estate opening on July 10, 2026.

Reservations are now live for the highly anticipated property, which will become Fairmont’s fourth hotel in the United Kingdom, joining The Savoy, Fairmont Windsor Park, and Fairmont St Andrews.

Set within 157 acres of Cheshire countryside, Fairmont Cheshire The Mere overlooks The Mere Lake and introduces a new chapter for the historic estate.

The property features 116 appointed bedrooms, including 23 spacious suites, blending country style with classic elegance.

Guests can also book a range of experiences across the resort, including dining at Gordon Ramsay at The Mere, afternoon tea and champagne at The Orangery, wellness treatments at Fairmont Spa, and golf on an 18-hole championship course.

The transformation follows a major investment by Select Group, including a £35 million acquisition and £90 million redevelopment.

For events, Fairmont Cheshire The Mere offers major gathering spaces, including a 1,000-square-meter Grand Ballroom that can host up to 1,000 guests.

The property is also designed for weddings, conferences, private dining, and multi-day celebrations.
