Enchanted Kingdom, the first and only world class theme park, teamed up once again with DepEd for another back-to-school Brigada Eskwela project!
Last June 3, 2019, Enchanted Kingdom brightened the day of students in Aplaya Elementary School in Santa Rosa Laguna, as it welcomed the first day of class with a magical surprise! As part of the Adopt-a- School Program entitled EK BRIGADA ESKWELA, the theme park adopted one Grade 1 classroom and spearheaded the repairs and repainting. Enchanted Kingdom has partnered with Brigada Eskwela for 6 years now in helping restore classrooms to tiptop shape. Last year, it adopted one kindergarten classroom in Labas Elementary School and came out to support other schools in Laguna and Quezon City in partnership with DWIZ.
This year’s turn-over was attended by Enchanted Kingdom Management, DepEd representatives, and other volunteers. The program was kicked off by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a fun-filled program where around 500 students from from Kinder to Grade 6 were entertained by Enchanted Kingdom’s Circle of Artists. They also got the chance to see Eldar the Wizard and Princess Victoria. The students were also given treats and EK’s Edutainment Booklets.
The continuous partnership between Enchanted Kingdom and DepEd aims to fulfill its commitment to providing fun, healthy, and wholesome learning environments for students. This year’s theme is “Matatag na Bayan para sa Maunlad na Paaralan” to show the focus on nation-building that starts with the community. Enchanted Kingdom strongly believes that aside from the repairs, the more important value of the partnership is that children are given the best learning environment where they can grow. The theme park will work to sustain its collaboration with DepEd as part of its advocacy on education.
