Refocus, a leading global EdTech startup that provides up-to-date practical skills for adults, and local fintech startup BillEase, which offers flexible and transparent alternatives to credit cards and e-wallets, today announced a strategic partnership to offer Study Now, Pay Later in the Philippines.

Refocus is offering students and young professionals online programs to help them acquire skills and jumpstart their careers in the Marketing and Information Technology industry. “We’re excited to open up new pathways for our customers to build their skills and career through our partnership with Refocus,” said Georg Steiger, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of First Digital Finance Corporation (FDFC) which operates the BNPL app. “BillEase is removing barriers for our customers to reskill and upskill by offering them interest-free study now, pay later plan, creating new opportunities for everyone.”

Customers only need to download the BillEase app, sign up with just 1 valid government ID, and a credit decision is made within 5 minutes. Installments are shown right away so customers know exactly what they pay with no hidden fees and no interest.

“Our mission at Refocus is to help students change their lives and boost their careers. To that end, we launched a hands-on course with detailed feedback”, — said Roman Kumar Vyas, the founder of Refocus. “We’re so excited to be partnering with BillEase to provide our students flexible payment plans. It helps more people provide quality education”.

Launched in the Philippines in October 2021, Refocus’ programs are designed to meet the standards and requirements of employers who seek highly qualified candidates. The company plans to establish a career center and more localized courses following its successful launch in the Philippines. Refocus also operates in Russia and India.
