DSWD continues rice aid for El Nino-hit families in Bukidnon

Despite the diminished effects of the El Nino, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)- Field Office 10 continues to extend rice assistance to families from Malaybalay, Bukidnon, who were affected by the dry spell. Bukidnon province was among the badly hit areas in the country during the recent onslaught of the El Niño phenomenon.

The continued provision of rice aid to the El Nino- affected families, especially the farmers, is one of the marching orders of DSWD Secretary Judy Taguiwalo to ensure that these families can cope with their loss of livelihood at the height of the prolonged dry spell.
