COMCO Southeast Asia, the only Philippine PR agency finalist in PRCA APAC Awards 2022

Global award winning communications agency COMCO Southeast Asia, the only Philippine communications agency finalist in the prestigious Public Relations & Communications Association Asia Pacific (PRCA APAC) Awards 2022 wins the top award for the Purpose Category.

The Agency won the Purpose Award for Dear Survivor: COMCO Southeast Asia’s Write to Ignite Blogging Project Season 2 which was co-presented by Eastern Communications and Jobstreet, sponsored by AirAsia, Xiaomi Philippines and supported by Teleperformance. The campaign was designed to motivate and spark hope to those who are strongly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic through the stories of bloggers and content creators across the Philippines.

The Public Relations and Communications Association Asia-Pacific (PRCA APAC) Awards 2022 is organized by the Public Relations and Communications Association Asia-Pacific (PRCA APAC), the world’s largest professional PR body representing more than 35,000 PR professionals in 70 countries worldwide and a global advocate for public relations excellence. One of the major divisions of the esteemed awarding body is the Purpose Category which highlights a campaign’s overall impact to its audience while also proving a strong link to company objectives.

“Blazing Sapphire: The COMCO Southeast Asia Year-Long 5th Anniversary Celebration” is another campaign that gained its spot as a finalist for the Strategic Communications Award in the highly regarded award giving body. It is a 5-part year-long celebration that comprised of the Kick-off wherein COMCO spotlighted on its brand evolution; the Camp COMCO Alumni Society’s “Unity Games” which is a celebration of the company’s strong alumni culture; the Dear Survivor: Write to Ignite Blogging Project Season 2 wherein bloggers, micro-influencers, and content creators can hone their storytelling skills; Citizen COMCO Advocacy Program’s “5 Gifts to the Community” with the help of  the Cause Marketing for Good initiative with World Vision; and the Blazing Sapphire Main Event, in which COMCO’s 10-year master plan was revealed including the launch of COMCO Middle East & Africa and the COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises.

Another major category in which the agency was recognized is the Team Awards. COMCO Southeast Asia was hailed as a finalist for the Medium Consultancy and Workplace Champions Awards.

Finally, Ferdinand Bondoy, the Regional Integration and Chief Executive Director of COMCO Southeast Asia, is a finalist in the Individual Awards Category for the PR/Communications Leader Award. Ferdinand is a proponent of strategic integration and meaningful storytelling, as well as a supporter of environmental conservation and children and youth education. He was a PR Academic Scholar in his collegiate years and is now a PR Industry Thought Leader.
