Zyxel Networks, a leader in delivering secure, AI-powered cloud networking solutions, today announced that Zyxel Group has been listed in S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2024. The company’s standout performance earned it a spot in the Top 5% and Industry Mover categories, underscoring its unwavering commitment to sustainable environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook is a compilation of companies with industry-leading sustainability practices and serves as a premier reference for investors and governments worldwide. Companies are evaluated on their ESG performance in the preceding year. Only 759 top performers were included in the 2024 yearbook – a fraction of the over 9,400 companies considered across 62 industries. Only four companies in the Communications Equipment industry made the cut, namely Zyxel, Cisco, Ericsson, and Wistron NeWeb.
In S&P Global’s latest assessment, Zyxel garnered high marks in “Energy Consumption,” “Process Innovations,” and “Product Innovations,” while its emphasis on human rights for its workforce and partners was recognized as well.
Zyxel also excelled with high marks in “IT Network Security Measures” for its cybersecurity performance. Zyxel is committed to providing accurate and trustworthy vulnerability data, enabling customers to benefit from the highest standards of product security and transparency. As a result, Zyxel has become the world’s only networking brand* recognized at the elite Provider Acceptance Level of all 355 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures Numbering Authorities (CNAs) by the U.S. government’s National Vulnerability Database (NVD).
As part of its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, Zyxel has launched a digital management platform to monitor carbon and energy resource usage across its group and supply chain in accordance with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) practices. Zyxel is also guiding its supply chain to embrace low-carbon practices through initiatives such as its Zero Carbon Academy training program.
The company’s tangible progress in sustainability has received other recognition domestically and internationally, including an MSCI ESG Rating of A in 2023 as well as Gold for Sustainability Reporting and the Information Security Leadership Award at the 2023 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards.
*The acceptance level data were accurate as of February 1, 2024.
