Are your heads still in the clouds? Us too!! I know you still can’t get over this weekend of music, food, booths, and performances from the 88rising artists. The highly anticipated 2-day “Head in the Clouds Manila” concert happened last December 9-10, 2022 in the SM Festival Grounds.
We’re taking you to the best week ever with this list of what went down on HITC Manila.
1. The lineup for the HITC Manila version is INSANE!
Who would not want to stand up for more than 10 hours just to see these 20+ amazing artists of 88rising.
From our homegrown artists like Zack Tabudlo and SB19 to international headliners like Jessi, Joji, Rich Brian, Jackson Wang, NIKI, BIBI and many more you would know that they didn’t disappoint.
Of course we can’t miss the opportunity to see the homecoming performances of Manila Killa, Guapdad 4000, and Manila Grey, but unfortunately Ylona Garcia and August 08 weren’t able to perform because of the bad weather.
2. The 88rising artists provide the TOP fan services.
Can’t you not fall in love with the sweetness of Jessi, MILLI, Jackson Wang, eaJ, Elephante, and Joji? They were the TOP when it comes to fan service.
These artists were going down the stage to interact with their fans, Jessi even called out fans on stage to be her back-up dancers. eaJ went around the barricades to thank everyone even though it’s raining. Elephante went to the tech booth and took pictures with the audience and MILLI went down and gave a ring to a lucky woman. Joji gave away some shirts and his towel while Jackson gave so many encouraging words for everyone.
If you turned into a goo with all these sweetness, we are with you.
3. Rain or shine the party must go on.
Yes, it rained and it’s pretty hard which made the producers call for a short break and it ended up with Ylona and August 08 not performing. I’ll give it to the staff though, for providing enough water and safety for all the attendees and performers alike. It is evident though that the international artists were not accustomed with our weather because it was definitely too hot for them even through the rain. Jessi was parched and made sure that everyone got hydrated, and *blessed*. Jackson was coming for air every after his performance, so he decided to shower with water. I mean, not that we’re complaining!
4. The line for the official merch and amazing booths are non-stop.
The official merchandise of Head in the Clouds, BIBI, NIKI, and Rich Brian are to die for! The line wasn’t ending even though it’s near the end of the show. Plus, booths by Globe, Valorant, Air Asi, GCash, and GOMO! had activities and prizes which made waiting for your favorite set bearable.
And if you are a Valorant fan, there was a replica of Neon’s room at the Valorant booth which was also visited by eaJ and Ylona Garcia.
5. The food and drink choices were bomb.
To the foodies the choices for drinks, snacks, and lunch were various. You won’t feel hungry with the endless choices of pizza from Sbarro, burgers from Wendy’s, Gyudon, snacks from E’lait and Overdoughs, and to the party goers beers and alcoholic drinks from Johnnie Walker, Kampai, and Nokal are available.
