It appears like Vivo is putting a lot of emphasis on its Y-series in the Philippines since it recently announced another addition to the lineup. The Vivo Y73 has a nature-inspired design and most of the specifications you’d expect from a 2022 mid-ranger: an Helio G95 SoC, triple back cameras, and a 1080p display.
Let’s unbox it.
Inside the box
The vivo Y73 is packaged in a white box with a vivid blue diagonal design that includes branding, major features, and regulatory information.
The phone, a 33W wall charger, a SIM ejector tool, a USB Type-A to Type-C cable, a bumper case, earbuds, and instructions are all included.
First Impression
The matte back panel of this Roman Black Vivo Y73 features a striped design, creating an attractive motif. It has a polycarbonate inner frame, a glass front panel, and a plastic rear panel. The phone is extremely lightweight while still strong due to the polycarbonate frame and glasstic back.
A 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 sits in front. Slim top and side bezels surround the panel. The bezel around the chin is significantly thicker. The notch is located above the display, while the thin earpiece is located above it.
The panel provides pictures that are colorful, crisp, and detailed, with enough brightness and contrast. It will be readable outside, although in direct sunshine it may struggle.
The smooth surface on top contrasts with the speaker grills, microphone port, USB-C connector, and 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom.
The SIM tray is on the left, while the volume rocker and the power button, which also serves as a fingerprint scanner, are on the right. The phone weighs 170 grams and measures 161.24 x 74.37 x 7.38 mm.
The 64MP f/1.79 primary camera, 2MP f/2.4 macro camera, and 2MP f/2.4 bokeh sensor with an LED flash are on the back, while the front-facing 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera is on the punch hole.
