Visa and the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) have signed a memorandum of understanding to improve financial accessibility for Filipinos, particularly in rural areas. This collaboration aims to modernize PHLPost’s financial services, leveraging Visa’s expertise in digital payments and secure transactions.
Through this partnership, Visa and PHLPost will explore ways to enhance remittance handling, streamline social welfare disbursements, and integrate digital payment solutions for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). Additionally, the initiative will focus on boosting financial literacy for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to ensure secure and seamless transactions.
PHLPost remains dedicated to bridging the financial gap for underserved communities by integrating innovative payment systems, strengthening security, and improving transaction efficiency. With Visa’s support, PHLPost aims to make financial services more accessible, ensuring Filipinos—both locally and abroad—benefit from a modernized and secure financial ecosystem.
