How to Take Part
From October 2 to 22, aspiring creators and storytellers can participate in the #ForYouPelikula Short Film Festival by creating short film entries ranging from 1 to 3 minutes in length, using the hashtag #ForYouPelikula. To be eligible, participants must be based in the Philippines, at least 18 years old, and the owners of the TikTok accounts where the video entries will be uploaded.
Participants have the freedom to explore various formats, from captivating skits and reenactments to immersive narrations or presenting the entire short film. All entries must align with TikTok’s community guidelines and feature the #ForYouPelikula hashtag in their captions. While participants can submit multiple entries, only one entry per participant can qualify as a finalist.
Celebrating Creativity and Rewarding Talent
The TikTok and Viva #ForYouPelikula Short Film Festival not only celebrates creativity but also rewards it. A panel of judges, including representatives from TikTok and esteemed media partners, will carefully evaluate the entries. The top 5 finalists, to be unveiled on October 25, will not only receive a cash prize of P10,000 each but will also see their creations professionally produced into short films from October 25 to November 25, 2023.
TikTok has joined forces with Viva to bring the top 5 finalists’ entries to life, complete with professional actors portraying the characters in these films.
The Grand Reveal and Awards Night
The final short films will make their debut at the TikTok and Viva #ForYouPelikula Awards Night on November 28, 2023, at Venice Cineplex Cinema 5, and will also be showcased on TikTok. During the Awards Night, the Best Entry Award, selected from the top 5 original videos submitted, and the Best Short Film Award, chosen from the Viva-produced films, will be announced. Each winner will receive a cash prize of P50,000.
