Rising Swedish pop sensation yaeow brings his inimitable blend of soul drenched, svelte RnB pop tunes to Singapore for one night only at Annexe Studio Esplanade on 21st December. Currently on tour with acclaimed Indonesian alt-RnB pop singer-songwriter Lullaboy, the pair have sold out their shows across Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei, with a brand-new date added for Manila on 25th January.
yaeow’s latest single ”what if… (dancing alone)’, a heartfelt, introspective indie-pop gem is released on 9th January ahead of his debut album due in February 2025. His previous single ‘favourite lesson’ written with 20 year old Australian singer-songwriter Keenan Te, was a viral hit, garnering over 20 million streams cementing the young Stockholm based artist as one to watch for 2025.
He says: “I made “What If… (dancing alone)” with my good friend and artist ‘gnash’. It is a very special track that talks about the idea of “what if we never met” and who, where and what I would be doing instead. It was a scary thought but I think the idea brought out something interesting and a new fresh vibe sonically for me. I think everybody has that thing where you wonder what would have happened if something turned out differently in their life, that is what this song is about.”
‘yaeow’ is singer-songwriter and producer Lars Haggstrom. Since releasing his first track in January of 2020, yaeow has captivated millions of listeners worldwide with his intimate lyrics and melodies. His early songs provided comfort and companionship to people who felt isolated around the world, fostering a deep connection through the intimacy of his music. With over 300M+ career streams and a dedicated global fanbase, ‘yaeow’ now begins an exciting new chapter, releasing his debut full-length album (with AWAL and Universal Music Publishing Group) and doing live shows all around the world.
