Pepsi Cola Products Philippines Inc. (PCPPI), the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the country, recently opened its newest line in Minglanilla, Cebu. This additional capability will supply the growing requirements of the highly-recyclable polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles in the Visayas and Mindanao area.
“This latest Cebu line is the first PET production line of PCPPI outside of Luzon. This plant will now be the main supply source of PCPPI’s PET products for Visayas and Mindanao. PET remains one of the highly-recyclable plastic materials in the world. The new Cebu line reinforces our sustainability commitments, particularly in reducing our use of virgin plastics,” said PCPPI President and Chief Executive Officer Frederick D. Ong.
PCPPI’s production facility in Cebu was previously in Mabolo and was transferred to Minglanilla in 1996.
Over the years, PCPPI has increased the size of its business in the southern Philippines region in response to increasing product demand. These production lines also improved distribution, allowing more products to be made available not only in Cebu but also in Bohol, Siquijor, Bantayan, and Masbate, among others.
