Mapúa University, the Philippines’ premier engineering and technological school, maintained its status as one of the region’s top universities as it entered the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings for the sixth straight year and its 4-Star overall rating in the QS Stars Rating System.
For 2024, Mapúa remained as one of the Philippines’ leaders in the highly anticipated QS Asia University Rankings. Entering the regional rankings for the sixth consecutive time, Mapúa landed on the 601-650 bracket and emerged as a top 100 Southeast Asian university.
The rankings assessed universities in 11 indicators across four key areas. Like the previous edition, Mapúa ranked first among all 16 Philippine schools in the papers per faculty indicator.
Achieving international recognitions and standards, Mapúa retained its 4-Star overall rating in QS Stars, a testament to its capability to provide international students and faculty members with an environment for advanced learning and development.
Operated by the QS Intelligence Unit, the QS Stars Rating System evaluates universities across a wide range of important performance indicators as set against pre-established international standards.
Recognizing its graduates’ readiness for work, impact to society and its community, and efforts in making education accessible to all, Mapúa gained 5 Stars for employability, social responsibility, and inclusiveness.
Meanwhile, the University received 4 Stars for teaching, academic development, facilities, and its computer science and information systems programs—also accredited by the United States-based ABET, a testament to the programs’ quality standards that produce graduates prepared to enter a global workforce.
These recent recognitions are clear manifestations of Mapua’s continuous dedication to enhanced quality assurance system and high-caliber education.
