Leonito Lopez Sr. proves that Filipino ingenuity can help one overcome poverty as his mobile salon gets featured in “My Puhunan” this Tuesday (October 10).
Lolo Tiyo, as he is fondly called goes around the community on his bike to give haircuts and even eyebrow retouches for twenty and fifty pesos each. He grew up in Capiz but as fate would have it, he had to live on the streets of Manila before learning how to handle scissors and combs to make a living as a self-taught barber.
Due to his income being just enough for the 78-year-old, the tools of his trade seriously need upgrades. Mae and Melvin Hosena, who successfully established their own salon “Follicles Salon” using a meager capital, will come to the rescue.
Be inspired and amazed by Lolo Tiyo’s ingenuity on the award-winning ABS-CBN current affairs program “My Puhunan” this Tuesday (October 10) at 9:30pm on DZMM Teleradyo, and after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN.
