Globe Telecom continues to strengthen its commitment to digital transformation by deploying 587 new 5G sites across the Philippines in 2024. This strategic expansion aims to meet the increasing demand for high-speed mobile services and enhance nationwide connectivity.
Beyond local advancements, Globe is also extending its global reach through partnerships with 168 inbound and 182 outbound 5G partners across 99 destinations. These collaborations reinforce its position as a key player in the international telecommunications landscape.
The company’s network expansion for 2024 includes the construction of 1,212 new cell sites and the upgrade of 4,613 mobile sites with LTE technology. These enhancements are set to improve customer experience, support economic growth, and bolster digital inclusivity.
As a result of this rollout, 5G coverage in the National Capital Region (NCR) has reached an impressive 98.69%, while key cities in the Visayas and Mindanao now boast a 96.95% coverage, benefiting approximately 106 towns across the country.
