Globe Business recently celebrated the Christmas tradition of gift-giving with one of its biggest online live selling events that let Filipino shoppers find gifts that bring countless smiles not only to their loved ones, but also to small business owners and the communities they support.
To make the online event extra festive this year, Globe Business partnered with an In-App Commerce Platform called ChatGenie, which facilitated a smoother sales experience for participating businesses and a frictionless shopping for customers. Consumers were also treated to discount vouchers, exclusive deals and exciting raffle prizes.
The live selling event on Globe Business Facebook page was part of Globe Business’ Gift Local, an annual campaign that gives the country’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) extra love and support during the holiday season by providing various opportunities to showcase their curated products to a wider audience.
“We mark the third year of Gift Local Live Selling with an opportunity for our MSMEs to reach more customers and sell more during the holidays. This was made possible through ChatGenie, a game-changing tool that allows small businesses to conveniently operate their business through an easy-to-use dashboard that has an order tracker system and where buyers can effortlessly view their menu, order and pay through the apps they already use,” said KD Dizon, MSME Group Head, Globe Business.
ChatGenie is a digital solution that allows businesses to streamline the ordering process and manage all their transactions across different channels in one platform.
“Equipping them with ChatGenie during the live selling event also enabled them to elevate the buying experience of their customers, which in turn will encourage more shoppers to patronize their products and help their businesses thrive during the holidays and beyond,” added Dizon.
Select local brands such as Danier Baker, Habi Lifestyle, Bayonciaga, Kapelino among others joined the event, which ran from 7:30 to 9 PM on December 2, with more than 781K views, and experienced the convenience of the innovative e-commerce tool.
These MSMEs were able to sell inside Messenger, Instagram, Viber and GLife on GCash; collect payment; facilitate shipping and delivery all in the ChatGenie dashboard, which made their business operations more seamless.
Meanwhile, home shoppers who ordered from the platform during the live selling received a Php100 discount voucher as Christmas treat for supporting local products.
