Ebola centers opened in 3 Philippine hospitals


Ebola virus has been spreading from nation to nation. And the fear that it might get in the Philippines is increasing among the public.

According to WHO there are already 4,033 people have died from Ebola virus as of October 8 out of a total of 8,399 registered cases in seven countries.

In spite of this, the Department of Health (DOH) made an announcement that the country is secure and ready for safety measures to prevent Ebola virus from entering PH.

Individuals who are coming from Ebola-hit countries who may be found positive of the virus will have to undergo a 21-day quarantine to the designated Ebola centers for treatment.

The Ebola centers which opened here in the Philippines are: the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, San Lazaro Hospital, and the Lung Center of the Philippines.

The 3 Ebola centers are highly capable to handle highly infectious diseases according to Health Undersecretary Teodoro Herbosa.
