De La Salle University (DLSU) kicked off its Animo Christmas! celebrations with the lighting of a 16-meter Christmas tree and a video projection show at the iconic St. La Salle Hall on its Manila campus last November 27.
DLSU’s campuses in Laguna and BGC simultaneously held their Advent Season opening program and Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The activities centered on the theme, “Diwa ng Pasko, Nasa Puso ng Bawat Lasalyano,” to highlight God’s gift of love and the essence of Jesus’ birth.
Advent activities commenced with a Holy Mass, followed by a program and performances from DLSU culture and arts groups. The evening culminated in a Christmas concert featuring popular OPM artists New:ID, The Ridleys, Over October, and Denise Julia.
In his message, DLSU President Br. Bernard Oca FSC urged the Lasallian community to continue to embody the spirit of Christmas and follow the example set by Jesus Christ.
