In alliance with the CXO Summit 2021, NetApp presented a number of presentations hosted by their respected representatives. The Day 1 Hall 1: NetApp – NetApp AI Solutions was led by Mr.Richard Biggs, an APAC leader for Artificial Intelligence; Day 2 Hall 2: NetApp – How To Succeed with Hybrid Cloud was led by Solution Architect for NetApp Mr. Mitch Barnes; and Day 4 Hall 2: NetApp – Get Your CloudOps On Track led by Mr. Amit Anand, a SPOT Partner Manager for ASEAN and ANZ.
For those of you who don’t know, NetApp is a Data Management Solutions for the Cloud company founded many years ago, offering a wide range of on-premise and cloud-base tools services which helps enable customers to further manage solutions in the hybrid multi-cloud world. Since customers experience a hybrid environment, NetApp had its latest business achievements such as being the Industry-leading cloud data services, storage systems and software, and the lead in solution with an open ecosystem of partners as well.

NetApp Speaker Richard Biggs also shared NetApp’s current products to its APAC customers.
One is providing a storage layer in place that helps you manage it back and forth in a cost effective, secure and high performance manner especially to those customers experiencing a hybrid environment. NetApp helps customers build their data fabric to accelerate digital transformation.
Second, NetApp also requires a broad portfolio approach, led by the ONTAP AI solution. This enables more efficient data collection, accelerated AI workloads and a smoother cloud integration. Below is a list that NetApp offers:
And third, the ONTAP.

For their AI workloads, they focus on the NetApp ONTAP AI which is one of the premium file storage merging systems available, used worldwide for many years now. Particularly, for data science workloads like performance, you need to feed the GPUs as quickly as possible with as much capability as possible.

The ONTAP AI is primarily driven by their alliance with NVIDIA GPUs such as the DGX and OEM GPUs. It provides multi-tenant cloud service environments and AI services to its end customers.
NetApp’s strategic collaborations with AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud
NetApp’s strategic collaborations with AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud were also mentioned and it is astonishing to see how these strategies help its customers.

NetApp’s Cloud Manager was discussed by Mr. Mitch Barnes in the summit’s Day 2 Hall 2: NetApp – How To Succeed with Hybrid Cloud. The Cloud Storage capability which is partnered with the 3 public Clouds, namely: AWS, Microsoft Azure, and the Google Cloud have native solutions and third-party solutions that can be used. The great part of it is that some of these solutions have built-in enterprise storage capability so you can save on storage costs for up to 70% and a number of other things as well.
The General Industry trends of Cloud Spend and Data Growth in APAC
As Mr. Mitch Barnes has discussed, NetApp across the Asia Pacific region has many customers using many of the different products namely: Infrastructure; Analytics; Enterprise apps; Cross Infrastructure analytics; Open Source and; Data sources or resources within their environment to run line of business applications up to simple services or applications that generate revenues.
To further see the momentum in the Asia Pacific region, Mr. Anand shared in his Day 4 Hall 2: NetApp – Get Your CloudOps On Track that NetApp’s Spot had helped a customer in the Philippines to save about 90% of their cloud cost.

HOW can NetApp help businesses implement an effective hybrid cloud strategy
Going back to Mr. Barnes’ presentation, Mr. Barnes shared that NetApp’s Cloud Manager helps businesses use its hybrid cloud strategy, especially at this time of the pandemic. NetApp released the Cloud to Edge, which is entirely software-defined. Customers who may also have customers working from home can easily connect to their services on the Cloud. This is proof that Hybrid Cloud has explosive growth in the public Cloud. This benefit is significant as the Cloud to Edge allows software-based services to bring the data closer to the users where they need it.
NetApp also has Cloud Optimisation that optimizes the cloud cost, which helps the current struggle of businesses. Mr. Barnes emphasized that the explosion of cloud growth due to the global pandemic pushes organizations to a hybrid cloud strategy or digital transformation strategy. This is why NetApp acquired SPOT.io, which helps save up to 90% of the cloud computer storage costs, which Mr. Anand further discusses.
NetApp’s Cloud Manager also has the Cloud Control & Analytics that helps businesses understand what your data is, where it is, and who has access to it, contributing to the business’s safety.

HOW can businesses enhance their data protection with the latest anti-ransomware capabilities available in the market?
Protect, secure, store, scale, analyse and optimise. These are the six tenants to implement an effective hybrid cloud strategy. And alongside these tenants discussed, the top concern of most customers is the Protection of their data.

As discussed by Mr. Barnes, Cloud Insight with Cloud Secure and Cloud Compliance monitors, optimises, secure and guarantees Privacy of your Data Fabric. NetApp’s built-in ransomware protection. With the help of their built-in snapshot technology, you are able to recover extremely quickly from a ransomware attack and also stop it before it becomes a larger problem within your environment.
